The Model 2001 12" Shear has been updated and transformed into the 2001EVO. After two years of evaluation and field-testing of every component, the new design was created, resulting in a unique and improved product. Listed below are some of the features that make the 2001EVO stand out:

  • Lighter and More Compact: The 2001EVO is five pounds lighter and two inches shorter and lower than other 12" shears. This makes it more portable, while also taking up less bench space in the shop.

  • Reduced Effort: Modified operating geometry and bronze bushings, resulting in a 35% reduction in effort required to operate the shear. This improves leverage and is particularly noticeable when cutting harder materials like engraver's brass and brass-plated steel.

  • Blade Stabilizer: Attached to the upper blade holder, it improves the shears' ability to shave or trim harder materials like brass-plated steel.

  • Durability: The Glide Block, which connects the handle and upper blade holder, is now made of steel to prevent wear and increase durability. Additionally, an Oil-Impregnated SAE-841 Bronze Bushing has been added to the Glide Block and four more bushings are at the 2001EVO shear's pivot points, protecting the shear's parts and extending its lifespan.

  • The final upgrades are an Improved Drop-Off Gauge, heavy-duty steel Step Ruler, Curved Power Blades for metals, rapid lower blade adjustment, and an all-modular construction.

In summary, the 2001EVO is the complete evolution of the 12" table shear, equipped with unique features that set it apart from other 12" shears. It's another reason to look for the AccuCutter® label, ensuring you have invested in the latest and greatest technology.

3001 Series.

The 3001 Guillotine Shear was originally designed in 1999, with the first prototype still in use continues in the AccuCutter® shop. While the basic design of the 3001 shears has remained relatively unchanged since that original prototype, the shears have continued to evolve with changes made as appropriate. These upgrades include 1/2" thick end plates, heavy duty alignment blocks for the upper blade holder with 1/4" thick aluminum bronze wear plates, and a new drop off/rear gauge. In addition, all of the shears have the Standard Features listed above. Currently, it available in a manual 3001 13" and 3001 25” and an air-powered 3001AIR 13”.

The shears are constructed to industrial standards with a significant weight contributing to their performance and stability. The shears cut foils, aluminum, and plastic effortlessly. The 3001 shears offer the precision and power of a larger commercial guillotine shear in a smaller, more affordable bench shear that provides convenience and flexibility. The 3001 shears were designed and developed by AccuCutter® and are manufactured at its facility in Pennsylvania.

3001EVO 13".

AccuCutter® is proud to present the newest member of the Model 3001 series, the 3001EVO. This 13" guillotine shear is a lighter and smaller version of the original, without compromising on quality.

The original 3001 Guillotine Shear was first introduced in 1999 and has since become known for its durability and precision at an affordable price. However, with the increasing cost of raw materials, the original 13" shear has become too expensive for some applications. In response to this, AccuCutter® conducted a thorough review of the original 3001 shear and developed the 3001EVO, which is over 40 pounds lighter and more affordable while still retaining all the unique features of the original. Due to it’s lighter weight, the 3001EVO has a reduced plastic capacity; however, it is also capable of cutting foils. The new shear is made entirely in the USA at our Pennsylvania plant, ensuring the highest quality possible. Upgrade to the 3001EVO and experience the same great performance as the 3001, now in a more compact and cost-efficient package.

4001 Series.

The 4001 Guillotine Shears are classic guillotine style bench shears that offer the precision, flexibility, and ease of use required by the most demanding operators. This classic bench shear is available in three different widths – 7", 13", or 19" – allowing you to choose the one that best suits your needs. The 13" variation, which has been in production since 2002, was highly praised by Stephen Spence in his review for the Engravers Journal as "...the best shear in the industry."

What sets the 4001 apart from its predecessor, the 3001, is its sheer strength, capable of cutting through even the toughest of materials, such as .080" aluminum and 16 ga non-ferrous metals. In order to double the 3001’s capacity, the 4001 is strengthened blade stiffeners on both the lower and upper blade holders. In addition to all the standard features listed above, both the top and bottom blades are mounted vertically in milled, ground pockets that provide a flat mounting surface and support the top edge of the blade. This configuration means the shear cuts from both the top and the bottom and enhances the shears cutting power. With these exceptional features and improvements, the 4001 Guillotine Shears are a trusted companion for artisans working with heavy materials, offering reliability and efficiency in every slice.

5001 Series.

The AccuCutter® 5001 Series Guillotine Shear is the newest addition to the family of guillotine shears. Developed from the 3001 Series, the 5001 Series boasts several key improvements to meet the demands of production environments and smaller shops. The following are the key features of the 5001 Series:

  • The blades are still oriented the same way as the 3001 Series with a capacity of .045” aluminum and the ability to cut foils or films.

  • The end plates are machined from a steel billet, resulting in a stronger frame with fewer parts and fasteners. Thus, producing a more powerful shear that easier to use.

  • The table and rear drop-off gauge can be removed, reducing the shear's depth to approximately 6". This is particularly useful when incorporating either the manual or air-powered versions into a production line, larger work surface, or automated feeding system.

  • D2 blades are available, as well as a measured drop-off gauge.

Overall, the 5001 Series is a sleeker, more powerful, and versatile guillotine shear that's perfect any shop. As with all of our shears, the 5001 was designed and developed and is manufactured by AccuCutter® at our facility in Pennsylvania, USA.

13" & 25" Air Shears.

For over 15 years, the 3001, 4001, & 5001 series by AccuCutter® have been enhanced with the addition of air power for the 13" and 25” width models. A single air cylinder has been added to the top of the 13” models, while the 25" shears have an added second air cylinder that drives the upper blade directly. All sizes and models are operated by a foot pedal and are equipped with an air filter/regulator, which provides a smooth flow of power over the entire cutting distance. It also adjusts the force used to the material being cut so that no more force is used than is required for the particular material.

Both the 3001 and 4001 air shears are similar, with the exception of the way the blades are mounted and how the shears cut. The 3001 top blade is mounted vertically, and the bottom blade is mounted horizontally, allowing for a "kiss" fit of the blades and superior cutting of plastics and thinner materials like foils. The 4001 top and bottom blades are mounted vertically, with a gap between the blades, making it better for cutting metals.

The 5001 25” Air Shear has replaced the original 3001 25” Air Shear and has been in production since 2012. It differentiates itself from its predecessor in that like the 5001 Manual, the air end plates are milled out of a solid steel millet and provide excellent strength. Additional standard features include upgraded D2 blades when equipped for cutting metals and a full width measured drop off gauge on the 5001 only.

All the standard features of the manual shears are incorporated into the air powered versions with the exception of the “Flip-Up Hold-Down”. It is replaced by a fixed clear plastic front safety guard with a restricted opening. The cutting edges of the blades are visible through the guard. The front guard and a similar one in the rear cover the moving parts of the shear except the rear stop/drop off gauge.

The air powered shears include all connections and air hoses from the foot control through the air filter/regulator to the air cylinder(s). The shears do not include a stand, air supply, additional connecting hoses, or other hardware. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to provide these items as well as a dependable air supply and storage that is both clean and dry.
